Very conscious we have gained quite a few new followers of our little shop recently so thought it would be nice to introduce to you who we are.

I’m David, the owner of Winston’s. The shop was first opened 2016 with the website launching in 2015, the shop originally just sold brands, nothing of our own. When Covid hit in 2020 I knew we needed to move away from brands and take greater control of what we sell, this is where our own range came from. Before we start, I hope everyone is safe and looking after themselves and their loved ones. The bigger picture is my little shop doesn’t really matter. There are far more important things happening in the world that little indies like mine pales into insignificance. That said, I love my shop and am very proud of what we have achieved and truly hope we can continue in the future.

Small business Saturday is held on the 1st December 2018 and is away to showcase small shops, retailers, cafes and restaurants all over the country. At such an important time of year for small businesses, it’s is so important that people get out and support them. Small shops in particular are the heart and life blood of towns and cities, they places personality and a uniqueness, without them everywhere would be the same. York has a great independent shopping vibe with some truly amazing and wonderful shops. So get out there and experience them for yourself.
